Description

ColorFabb XT-CF20 is a copolyester based on carbon fibre binding material.
Composed of 20% carbon fibres, selected especially for 3D printing.

The idea of ​​carbon fibre filaments is not new, however, Colorfabb has succeeded in combining a number of desired properties into one single filament:

• Extremely high flex modulus (6.2 GPa) / twice as stiff as PLA
• Moderate expansion (8-10%)
• High glass transition temperature (80 °C)
• Very high melt strength
• Very high melt viscosity
• Good dimensional accuracy and stability
• Low odour
• Easy application on multiple platforms
• Attractive matte black finish

Please note: A special point of attention is the abrasive nature of carbon fibre. In general, these fibres will accelerate the nozzle-wear of brass nozzles, much faster than unfilled filaments. We recommend using stainless steel nozzles or nozzles made with hardened copper alloys.
